Giovanni Distefano, MD, is a proactive and committed young surgeon specializing in colorectal surgery, with a strong interest in transanal procedures.
He holds a Master’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan (grade: 110/110) and completed with honors his General Surgery Residency at the University of Turin (grade: 70/70 cum laude), where he focused on risk factors for rectal cancer recurrence post-Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery. Currently, he is enrolled in a PhD program in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences at the Politecnico of Turin.
